Madame Atangana Josiane, single mother with two kids did not find an employment in town where she graduated in sociology from University in 1999. In 2006, she decided to go back to the village to invest in agriculture. Without training, her production was always low. She could only produce to feed her family without extra to sell. In 2009, she decided to participate in the training carried out by CEFASE at Ngouh on organic farming. During the training, she learnt how to cultivate tomato and hot pepper. Since two years, it is from her tomato production that she generates money to satisfy her family needs and pay school fees of her children.

Tsopgni Ruth Edwige, 18 years lost her parents in the village when she was 16 years old. She was taken to Yaounde by her uncle, father of nine children. She lives with her uncle who does not have enough money to send her to school or to pay for a professional training. First of a family of six, she started doing housework to help her juniors who live with their grand-mother in the village. When she heard about CEFASE in 2008, she stopped housework and joined CEFASE’s training in hairdressing. She completed the training one year later and settled. She is self-sufficient and socio-economically independent. Now, she is the one taking care of her grand-mother and her juniors.

For about three year, Josephine Ntzana was sick at Nkum but she could not go to hospital because her parents did not have enough money. During this time, she was brought to traditional doctors, unfortunately, nothing changed. When CEFASE organized health community education in January 2011with the help of an international volunteer, she was brought for check-up. The volunteer diagnosed severe pneumonia. She was given first aids and a sum of 65 000 F CFA for hospital fees and medications. She went to the hospital and is well now.
